A note on updates: Dodgers Dynasty updates this roster intermittently, generally every couple of weeks and after major roster news. Roster moves like call-ups, injured list, trades and designations for assignment can happen daily, so the list may briefly lag behind. The date at the bottom of the table shows when it was last updated.

    Dodgers Roster FAQ

How many players are on the Dodgers’ active roster?

Major League Baseball teams carry 26 players on the active roster for most of the regular season. Rosters expand to 28 players on September 1.

How big is the Dodgers’ playoff roster?

In the MLB postseason, each team carries a 26-player roster for each series. Teams will submit their roster before every round and will be able to make changes between rounds. To be eligible, a player generally must have been in the organization on the 40-man roster or the 60-day injured list by August 31. If a player is injured during a series, the team can request the commissioner’s office for a replacement; if approved that injured player will have to miss the current and subsequent playoff round. Pitchers must be replaced by other pitchers, and position players must be replaced by another position player, although their exact defensive position does not have to be an exact match.

What do the B/T abbreviations mean?

B/T stands for bats and throws. “R” means right-handed, “L” means left-handed and “S” means a switch-hitter who bats from both sides.

    What does TWP mean?

TWP stands for two-way player, an MLB designation for players who both pitch and hit regularly. Shohei Ohtani is currently recognized as the only two-way player in professional baseball.

How often is this roster updated?

This roster page is updated every few weeks or immediately after major moves such as trades or significant injuries.

For up-to-the-minute transactions, check the Dodgers’ transaction list on the official MLB website.

This roster is updated with the help of an AI program.
