The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading back to the National League Championship Series for a third straight season.
The Dodgers mustered just enough offense in Tyler Glasnow’s Game 4 start at Truist Park in Atlanta to put away the Braves 4-1 in the NLDS. The Dodgers won the series 3-1, the team’s only loss coming at home in Game 2.
L.A. is the first team to clinch a spot in a 2026 league championship series and will face the winner of the Brewers-Padres NLDS, which could be decided Wednesday night or on Friday, with the Brewers holding a 2-1 series lead as of publish time.
Regardless of the opponent, NLCS Game 1 will take place on Sunday, Oct. 11. If the Brewers eliminate the Padres, the series will kick off in Milwaukee; if the Padres advance, Game 1 will be held at Dodger Stadium.
Dodgers tie it on a Braves error
The first two runs of the game were anything but conventional.
Atlanta struck first in the bottom of the 1st inning when Michael Harris II singled, stole second, moved to third on a groundout and scored on a Tyler Glasnow wild pitch.
The Dodgers answered in the 2nd with their own out-of-the-ordinary offense: Shohei Ohtani walked, stole second and took third when catcher Sean Murphy’s throw sailed into center field.
Max Muncy then lifted a pop-up to deep shortstop that Mauricio Dubón dropped for an error, scoring Ohtani to tie it 1-1.
Kiké Hernández grounded into a double play to end the inning.
Tyler Glasnow walks a tightrope

Glasnow, making his first start of the postseason after 12 days off, allowed one run on one hit over 4.2 innings.
He was noticeably shaky in the first inning but managed to right the ship, finishing with five strikeouts on 78 pitches, as well as five walks.
Relief pitcher Alex Vesia came in to close out the fifth inning; Edgardo Henriquez pitched 1.2 innings and picked up the win; and the tandem of Tanner Scott and Edwin Díaz shut the door in innings 8 and 9, respectively.
The Dodgers bullpen combined for 4.1 scoreless innings, while Atlanta went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position.
Andy Pages delivers the go-ahead hit

Game 4 was a true coming out party for Andy Pages, who has struggled mightily throughout his brief postseason career.
In the 7th inning, Teoscar Hernández singled off Tyler Mahle, who left after 6.1 innings. Josue De Paula (pinch-hitting for Kiké Hernández) and Kyle Tucker walked against Didier Fuentes to load the bases, with Tommy Edman pinch-running.
With two outs, Andy Pages lined Robert Suarez’s full-count pitch up the middle for a two-run single, scoring Edman and Hernández for a 3-1 lead.
Pages finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and shouldered the offensive load to help the Dodgers advance to the NLCS again.
Max Muncy adds insurance

In the top of the 9th inning, Max Muncy hit a full-count fastball from Braves closer Raisel Iglesias 389 feet to right for a solo home run, his third of the postseason. The Dodgers’ all-time leader in postseason home runs continues to add to his total, putting more space between himself and the co-No. 2s on the list, Corey Seager and Justin Turner.
With that extra insurance on board, Díaz, in his second straight save opportunity, retired the side and turned the page on the Atlanta Braves.
The Dodgers roster later retired to the clubhouse and eagerly awaited manager Dave Roberts to complete his laundry list of thank-yous and special recognitions before popping their champagne bottles and partying like it’s 2025.
The Dodgers will face the winner of the Brewers-Padres series in Game 1 of the NLCS on Sunday, Oct. 11. Game times are to be announced.
